KIEWA KIDS

Our Team

Hello, my name is Dayna and I am lucky enough to be the Director of Kiewa Kids. I have my Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary which I completed in 2015.

I have spent most of my experience in Early Childhood Education as a Preschool teacher within a long day care service and enjoy making meaningful connections with the children and families. I have a passion for quality care and education in the early years. I believe in children being capable, inquisitive learners and educators being able to scaffold their learning and guide children and families to reach their goals. I feel it is a privilege to become a part of each family’s life through my work and dedicate my days to being a positive influence on the children we are educating and caring for.  I am very excited to be a part of the team at Kiewa Kids and look forward to building our community together as we grow.

My passion is to explore ways to awaken the child’s learning, interest and imagination. I want to work on creating a sense of self-worth to move through life and its challenges. I endeavour to develop each individuals fundamental skills, behaviours and knowledge to become active participants in their learning and community.
I aspire to: Support all families and children, to create a nurturing play-based learning environment and become a strong male role model for all children, families and staff.

My name is Brooke and I am 26 years old and I have been working with children for 7 years.

I have my Certificate III in Children’s Services and am currently working towards my Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
I have had the most satisfaction within my 7 years, being able to watch children grow throughout a centre from birth to their Preschool graduation.
My favourite quality about working with children is the genuine relationships formed with both the children and their families.  I look forward to supporting your child’s development, helping them to learn and grow during their time here at Kiewa Kids.

Hi, my name is Jo, I am the Preschool teacher in the Waratahs room. I am very excited to be starting this exciting new role and to be working with your children.
I have my Bachelor Degree of Education (Early Childhood) (Birth to 12) from Macquarie University in Sydney. I also have a Certificate 3 in Horticulture and am currently working towards a Diploma of Counselling.
My philosophy of teaching is that children are capable of making decisions that affect you and I work to ensure that they are able to use this capacity in every day life. I believe that the first years are integral to the adult a child will become, yet I wish to ensure that all children have the space and support to be inquisitive, to explore and completely enjoy the wonders of their own, unique childhood.

I am very eager to meet you and your children and hope to have the pleasure of working very closely with you all whilst your children attend Kiewa Kids.

Hello, my name is Lee.

I am the Centre cook and have been in the Early Education industry for over 15 years. I have my Certificate III in Early Childhood education and care. I love working at Kiewa Kids because you always learn something new from the children. I find their laughter and fun-loving spirits invigorating and look forward to coming to work every day.
I love being the Centre cook as it allows me to learn so much about food and what the children can and cannot have. It is a challenge at times, but I never back down from a challenge.
I look forward to working with everyone here at Kiewa Kids and becoming a part of a large community.
